Each day brings new stories about the ways plastic is infiltrating our world: from the food and water entering our bodies to our most remote and delicate wildernesses. Yet the petrochemical giants and big consumer brands’ love affair with plastic doesn’t have an expiration date. They’re revving up for an exponential increase in plastic. We've got a different vision: to end the single-use plastics era.

Last week, we introduced the most comprehensive legislation to reduce single-use plastic in U.S. history. If it passes, it will drive a massive reduction in plastic waste throughout the state of California and create a model for others to follow suit.
