WATER IS LIFE!
BlueTriton, Nestlé and their predecessors have been bottling water from springs nestled in a mountain in the San Bernardino National Forest since the 1930s. But they never had a right to the water – it actually belongs to the American people.
For decades they’ve hoodwinked regulators, but now their scam is about to come to an end!
Will you show your support for this campaign by pitching in today?
This has been a costly, years long legal battle – the Story of Stuff Project has been footing the bill, and we think it’s worth every penny. But unlike our opposition, we don’t have deep corporate pockets. We have you – and you’ve taken us right to the finish line!
On Tuesday September 19, California’s State Water Board ordered bottling giant and Nestlé-successor BlueTriton to stop removing tens of millions of gallons of water annually from southern California’s San Bernardino National Forest.
This is a huge, long-awaited win for the Story of Stuff Community and our friends and allies around the world.
We were in the boardroom in Sacramento representing the 25,000+ Story of Stuff Project and Eko members who signed a petition urging the Board to turn off the spigot on this water theft once and for all.
Stand with us virtually by contributing to our campaign to defend public water.
