Yes! I Want to Create Designs for Social Change!
Get your ideas out of your head and onto paper!
The Story of Stuff Project is pleased to announce a San Francisco Bay Area-only in-person graphic design event: Design for Social Change.
On Saturday, February 6, 2016, we will gather in Oakland to talk design. Led by reknowned artist Gus Morainslie, we will talk about the basics of water as a human right, and how we can visually show what water means to our communities. We will also talk about plastic pollution and the solutions that are cropping up everywhere. One of the biggest ways we can fight plastic pollution is by flexing our citizen muscles.
That's where your design comes in. We'll move from conceptualization to sketches in the first half of the day. We'll then use the second half of the day to bring them to life: in marker, paint or Photoshop.
Then get ready to see your design take life in the news--at the forefront of a march, rally or sit-in!
We need your creativity and unique perspective. Won't you join us?
