Launching national and global campaigns to push for big systemic change. Supporting local community movements and solutions at the state and municipal level. Using storytelling and education to shift minds and change the culture.

9. This summer we conducted our first plastic pollution 'brand audit’ -- cleanup events that identified the companies responsible for plastic waste in the environment by recording the brands on litter recovered by volunteers. Major brands have expressed serious concerns about the impact this initiative could have on their brand image. Would you help to lead or volunteer for a brand audit where you live in the next 6 months?

We will be releasing a feature-length documentary on the lifecycle of plastic and its implications for people and the planet in 2019, a first for the Story of Stuff Project. “The Story of Plastic,” will illuminate a fundamentally broken system and introduce grassroots heroes developing and fielding solutions to the plastics crisis around the world.
